LMF Brand Manager

Spokane Valley, WA

The LMF Feeds Brand Manager oversees and manages one of the company’s premium feed brands, LMF Feeds. LMF specializes in horse feed and supplements as well as poultry and other backyard animal feed. LMF is served by two mills that manufacture their feed – AFCO Distribution & Milling in Spokane, WA and Farmers Warehouse in Keyes, CA.

This position is responsible for leading and directing the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans. This position is also responsible for planning, managing, and executing domestic shipments and international exports. Ideal candidates will possess an extremely high level of attention to detail, initiative, discretion and independent judgment, with a can-do attitude and the ability to multi-task. Candidates should excel in identifying things that need to be done and figure out a way to do them effectively and efficiently. Responsibilities & duties include:
• Utilize strong analytical skills used to manage and develop P&L, drive market growth, and execute effective marketing campaigns
• Be responsible for growing feed brand sales and profitability
• Manage daily operations
• Supervise, educate and develop sales staff
• Operate cross-functionally to strengthen the brand
• Establish and maintain annual budgets
• Engage the public to promote the company’s products
• Answer questions and resolve issues or concerns as they may arise
• Work with manufacturing operations to preserve and enhance product quality
• Organize and execute the logistics of global shipments. Collaborate with freight brokers on overland trucking and ocean & air transportation.
• Coordinate the marketing of current and new business offerings
• Manage and maintain the full suite of products within the brand, keeping the offering fresh and relevant for consumers
• Maintain and update information on customer accounts
• Develop strategic marketing plan to meet goals and objectives of the company
• Create marketing and promotional materials & programs including but not limited to print, electronic media, trade shows, direct mail and signage
• Coordinate events to educate the public and enhance sales.
• Manage media relations designed to cultivate relationships with targeted audiences and generate publicity that increases the brand awareness
• Cultivate and maintain strong brand ambassador relationships and partner agreements
• Monitor social media platforms
• Review donations and sponsorship requests
• Attend conventions, conferences and trade shows as needed; prepare post-event reports and analysis
• Exhibit an ability to get along with others
• Practice punctual and reliable attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
• Three to five years of related professional experience
• Display proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) in addition to Windows-based computer software including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Have a proven history of dependable and reliable employment
• Lift, carry and load 50-pound weight requirements

• Background in equine, pets or a country/rural lifestyle

This is a full-time position. 45+ hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
