Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle and tow flatbed & enclosed trailers up to 53′.
• Deliver freight loads along established local delivery routes (driver will return to terminal every evening).
• Assist with unloading/loading operations as necessary.
• Ensure loads are safe and secure during transport. Take precautions to protect products and customers’ property.
• Perform daily safety checks of vehicles and equipment. Make adjustments and minor repairs as necessary.
• Maintain daily paperwork.
• Serve as a liaison between the company and customer. Help to address customer concerns and resolve issues as they may arise.
• When not driving, assist in the distribution center by completing orders, including but not limited to: accurately picking, loading and unloading products; receiving inbound deliveries and preparing outbound shipments; rotating and stocking products; and performing inventory maintenance activities.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) and other Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
• Maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) that meets company safety criteria and remains insurable in accordance with company insurance requirements.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills, including navigating websites and receiving/sending emails
• Pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 60 pounds.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Proven track record of being dependable and reliable.
• Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with co-workers and customers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience operating commercial vehicles with a DOT-regulated employer.
• Experience safely operating pallet jacks, forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Possess a CDL hazmat endorsement.

Schedule

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position (schedule will vary). Monday through Friday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

Delivery Area

Based out of our warehouse in Burlington, WA, deliveries are provided to customers on a scheduled route, primarily in Snohomish, Island, Skagit & Whatcom Counties.
