AFCO Mill operates one of the region’s premier feed mills in Spokane Valley, WA. Our mill manufactures a variety of product lines including LMF Horse Feeds, Palouse Brand, Earth First Poultry Feed, Aslin-Finch Feeds, Backyard Bistro and Barnyard Bistro. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Train employees to develop their skills and enhance production efficiency.
• Coordinate daily production runs, staff scheduling, and oversee opening/closing of facilities.
• Manufacture, inspect, and bag feed-related products, ensuring quality and adherence to recipe specifications.
• Identify, blend, and label ingredients per recipe cards; inspect grains for pests and report issues.
• Safely load, unload, and verify truck deliveries; manage receiving reports and bin measurements.
• Operate and maintain tools, vehicles, and machinery, including hammer mills, augers, and grinders.
• Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment
• Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record
• Three+ years of supervisory experience or equivalent warehouse/milling experience
• Proven track record of being safe, dependable and reliable
• Ability to follow directions
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push/pull up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 80 pounds with assistance)
• Must be able to frequently bend, squat, kneel, and occasionally climb/balance and lift from high/low positions
• Prolonged periods of standing working on a bagging line
• Climb ladders for the purpose of performing routine maintenance & housekeeping
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong mechanical experience
• Experience in grain handling and FDA regulations
• Experience safely operating pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
SCHEDULE
This is a full time, 40 hours per week position. The days and hours for the weekend shift are Friday – Sunday, 4:00 am to 4:30 pm with flex hours on Thursday or Monday.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
