AFCO Distribution, a wholesale distribution company located in Spokane Valley, WA serves over 800 retail customers. The company distributes over 7,000 products including animal feed, garden and nursery supplies, wildlife products, pet food and supplies, etc. Delivery is provided by a fleet of company trucks from the company’s distribution center warehouse.
RESPONSIBILITY & DUTIES
• Maintain a safe, clean, working environment and equipment
• Provide custodial and maintenance support
• General cleaning; picking up plastic wrap, bags, sweeping up feed spillage and taking out the trash
• Operate industrial ride-on floor scrubber
• Receive inbound deliveries and prepare outbound shipments for distribution
• Rotate and stock products
• Perform inventory maintenance activities
• Safely operate vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
• Safely load & unload trucks in a timely manner
• Perform tasks in accordance to FDA, OSHA, State and Federal Safety Regulations
• Exhibit an ability to get along with others
• Practice punctual and reliable attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Possess a valid driver license with safe driving history
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older to perform the functions of this position for compliance with state and federal rules
• Commitment to excellence and high standards especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods; bend, stoop and kneel frequently
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 60 pounds (occasionally 80 pounds with assistance)
• Ability to self-motivate and carry out daily tasks with minimal supervision
• Proven track record of being safe, dependable and reliable
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with co-workers and customers for safety purposes
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Ability to follow directions verbally, written and on maps
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrate a willingness to work long hours and/or weekends.
• Experience safely operating a forklift, lift trucks, hand trucks, and other loading and moving equipment
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Helpful and cheerful attitude important
• Prior custodial/sanitation experience
S C H E D U L E
We are flexible! This can be a part-time or full-time position, 6-hour or 8-hour shift. Scheduled Monday – Friday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

$17.00 – $19.00/hour. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
